Meeting called to order 19:02 by President Robinson. Pledge and
Moment of Silence for Fallen Firefighters.
Chief David Folk welcomed BFFA members.
Members present: Chadwick, Lanark, Mendota, Milledgeville, OSF St.
Anthony – Lifeline Helicopter, Polo, Shannon, Sublette, Sycamore,
Thomas, Tiskilwa.
Past Presidents acknowledged
Treasures Report- Report given by Brad Belanger. Motion to approve
report and pay bills by Randy Philhower, second by Larry Wagner.
Secretary Report - Motion to waive reading of minutes by Dean Ege,
Second by Larry Wagner.

VFIS Drivers Safety Class @ Sauk Valley College December 15 6pm –
9pm.

Hazmat OPS @ Dixon City Fire January 6,7,8,13,14, & 15
BTLS Refresher @ BFFA Conference Jan. 7, 2006. Cost - $25.00
BFFA Conference @ Rock Falls Holiday Inn, January 7, 2006 from 8:00
am to 5:00 pm. will have Fire and EMS training. BFFA Banquet to
follow. Vendors will be on display. The 2006 BFFA Conference

Safety- No Report
News Letter- New electronic E-Letter newsletter going out. Members
wishing to view it can do so on the E-Letter link on the BFFA
website. If you would like to receive the E-Letter, simple use the
“Join our email list” link on the BFFA website. We are also still
working on a new quarterly news letter.
Membership- We have a new member department: Northwest Fire
Protection District. We would like to welcome Chief Tom Ragnar and
all the members of the Northwest Volunteer Firemen’s Association to
BFFA.
Fundraising & Grants- 50/50 tickets are out.
Water Fight- We would like to set dates for next years water fights
at the BFFA Conference.
Memorial/funeral- still looking for volunteers for parade, honor
guard, wake and funeral duty. We have lost a few firefighters
recently and would like to encourage our member departments to
participate in the BFFA Honor Guard. Contact Chief Lally at Dixon
Rural for additional information.
Resources and Property: We need a new battery for our laptop
computer. We will have Chief Lally purchase a battery and will
reimburse him once we receive the bill.
OLD BUSINESS: Highway Safety, BFFA website now has a banner to an
E&B traffic sign special on the BFFA main page. We also have quotes
from E&B on the 8240HL Lime or Orange Vests. Contact Jeff Bryant at
E&B Fire Safety for details.
NEW BUSINESS: Happy Holidays and we will see everyone at OSF –
Lifeline in January.
Milledgeville Fire Department Chief David Folk gave presentation on
his division’s deployment to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in New
Orleans.
