Secretary’s Report: motion by Brother Hank to dispense of the reading, motion carried.

 

Treasurer’s report: given out to all.

Bills in the total of $1766.06 were presented and motion by Brother Hank and second by Brother Todd H. motion carried.

 

COMMITTEES:

  • November 10th & 11th - Safety and Survival On The Fireground - 2 Day Seminar - Byron
  • November 15th & 16th - ACLS Certification - OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center

Fund raising: Todd and Pat advised that the 50/50 tickets had been distributed and will hopefully start to see some returns as soon as Departments get them sold.

Conference: January 6th and 7th, 2007 at Sauk Valley Community College

 

Water Fight: No Report

 

Funeral detail: continue to look for people interested in serving n the Honor Guard. There will be a two day training session in connection with the Jan 2007 Conference Contact Chief Lalley if able to participate with the honorable need.

Old Business:  No Discussion

 

New Business:  Chief Lalley asked to purchase 4 dozen pairs of white detail gloves to be used when needed in the Honor Guard details. Motion by Brother Pat and second by Brother Hank motion carried. $250.00 max expected cost

 

Thank you was received from the family of the late Don Brown.

 

A short discussion on the use of the confined space trailer was held. We will be getting the insurance for the trailer and start to get it out to the departments along with a standard form releasing BFFA of any Liability in the event of and accident while the training is going on. We will put together a brief and concise USE and Safety outline for the departments. State Certification will be up to each department to handle

    

Next Meeting will be the executive meeting to be held on Oct 19 at the Monroe Center Fire Department, Monroe Center, Il. 1900 hrs, station is located on Rte 72 in Monroe Center.       

 

Motion to Adjourn carried and then followed by an excellent meal and Division 8   2049 hrs.     

 

Presentation: MABAS Division 8 presentation.
