The Next
BFFA
Meeting is
7 pm -
Oct. 20th
at E&B Fire Safety,
243 E. Main,
Amboy.
Firefighters from MABAS Division 38 will be giving a presentation and slide show on their response and efforts in New Orleans.
We are updating
the BFFA contact lists as well as add
additional information to our current lists.
We have had several requests to make a list
of current department Fire Prevention and
Education Officers. All departments are
encouraged to send us any information that
has changed: Chief, mailing address,
telephone & Fax numbers. Also we would like
to have any email address & website
information, Names of the Training Officer,
Fire Prevention and Education Officers. Once
we have a current accurate list, we will
make it available to BFFA departments to
better enable departments to communicate
with other member departments.
BFFA is still
looking for members to help us out by
serving on
The BFFA Honor
Guard. If you are interested
in being a Honor Guard member, please
contact Chief Lalley at Dixon Rural or by
sending him a
email.
The BFFA
Conference
“It’s
All About Attitude”
will be January 7, 2006
at the
Rock Falls Holiday Inn.
There will be EMS tracks,
Fire tracks and a BTLS class.
We will be sending out class schedules and
information as it becomes available.
The
BFFA
50/50
tickets are ready. We
will hold the drawing at the Amboy
Extrication School.
Training:
Sterling will
host a free IFSI Pump Operations , Saturday
Oct. 22, 2005.
Erie will have a
Juvenile fire Setter class October 22 & 23,
08:30 – 16:00 each day.
Dixon Rural will host a Tech. Rescue Awareness Class on Oct. 29, 2005.
Mendota
will host a firefighter 3 class starting
Nov. 7, 2005.
Crystal Lake Fire Rescue will hold a Clandestine Drug Lab Awareness class on November 12, 2005 from 08:30 to 12:30. Lifeline will be doing some classes at the conference.

Reminders:
Departments must have completed the FEMA
IS700 course by the end of the year to
continue receiving grants.

will be adding additional resources as they
become available.

We are working on our 501c and need to
consolidate our records if possible. We are
also working on a updated BFFA Inventory
list.
