It is with deep regret that the Dixon Fire
Department announces the death of retired
Chief James Hill. Chief Hill was a 29-year
veteran of the Dixon Fire Department.
Visitation for Chief Hill will be on Wednesday,
January 24, 2007 from 1400 to 1600 and from 1800
to 2000 hours at the St. Patrick’s Holloway
Center. The Holloway Center is connected to St.
Patrick Catholic Church at 612 Highland Ave,
Dixon.
Uniformed personnel are invited to participate
in a walk-thru on January 24, 2007 at beginning
at 1900 hours. Personnel should meet at the
Holloway Center no later than 1815 hrs. The
family has requested that all Departments
attending the visitation bring 2 department
patches.
Funeral Services will be at St. Patrick’s
Catholic Church located at 612 Highland Ave. in
Dixon on Thursday January 25 at 1030 hours. Fire
Departments wishing to send apparatus to on
Thursday to be part of the funeral procession
should contact the Dixon Fire Department at
815/288-3323 for staging instructions.
